Hamish from the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachds – Family Friendly Gaelic Trail

Help us celebrate Gaelic Week this February by following in Hamish from the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd’s footsteps!
This exciting scavenger hunt and trail explores the history of New Lanark through the eyes of Hamish, a New Lanark Millworker who’s recently emigrated from the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachds. Follow in Hamish’s footsteps to learn fascinating facts about New Lanark’s history – and a bit of Gaelic too!

Your Hamish from the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachds Scavenger Hunt is included in our Visitor Centre Ticket. Complete your Gaelic adventure to earn a “Hamish from the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachds” sticker and a chance to dress up at our Dress up Station in the Visitor Centre Reception!

Join the adventure at New Lanark and follow in footsteps. Thank you to Historic Environment Scotland’s Gaelic Team for their support.
