Seachdain na Gàidhlig
World Gaelic Week
Tha Seachdain na Gàidhlig air a cho-òrdanachadh le Hands Up for Trad, Àireamh Carthannas na h-Alba 035 190.
Mìcheal Steele, a native Gaelic speaker and musician from Glasgow, will lead a day of Gaelic language and music as part of Seachdain na Gaidhlig 2026. Mìcheal will deliver four hours of tuition in the Memorial Hall at Strachur on Tues 24 February, from 10:30 to 15:30 (including an hour for lunch – bring your own lunch). Intended for English speakers, Mìcheal will lead the workshop using both Gaelic and English, ensuring that participants learn some basic Gaelic phrases and develop an understanding of the names and stories behind the tunes as well as Gaelic style and performance.
This is a mixed-instrument workshop, all are invited to attend. Bring a sandwich and water bottle, soup will be available.
