Local Gaelic naturalist, broadcaster and storyteller, Ruairidh Maclean, will introduce us to Gaelic names and lore connected with some of the plants in the GROW garden, followed by a chat (in a warm glasshouse!) about the links between the language and the Highland environment, a few local place-names and some local stories from Gaelic tradition. The indoor session will be preceded by a srùbag (cuppa). The working language of the event will be English, but Gaelic speakers and learners are particularly welcome and Ruairidh will use some Gaelic in his stories if clients wish.
Free event (with a donation for refreshments).
