SESSION 2 (GLE) – for schools learning Gaelic as an additional language. This session will be in English with Gaelic content.
Schools where children are learning Gaelic as an additional language are invited to join the Fèisgoil staff online through Teams where they can meet, listen to and ask questions of Luke Macleod.
Luke, who is a student at the University of St Andrews, will lead the half-hour online session for children and young people where he will tell them of some of the opportunities he has had as a Gaelic speaker keen to use the language whenever he can. Originally from Lewis, he is spending his third year of university in Hong Kong, learning how other countries deal with more than one official language.
Please don’t be shy – Luke would love to take any questions directly from the children – or their teachers – present on Monday 24th. But if they/you prefer just to listen that is also fine by us and we will keep the conversation going, listening to Luke’s inspiring adventures.
