Ged nach eil a’ Chànan Chruithneach air a bruidhinn tuilleadh agus cha mhòr air a dìochuimhneachadh, tha mòran den rud a thàinig beò air a ghleidheadh ann an ainmean-àite agus tro fhaclan a chaidh a ghabhail a-steach don Gàidhlig bhon Chruithneach. Anns an òraid seo, tha Tomos Dargie, oileanach iar-cheumnach ann an Oilthigh Obar Dheathain, a’ bruidhinn air na tha air fhàgail agus na dh’innseas iad dhuinn mu dhàimhean Cruithneach-Gàidhlig.

Although the Pictish Language is no longer spoken and almost forgotten, much of what has survived has been preserved in place-names and through words adopted into Gaelic from Pictish. In this talk, Tomos Dargie, a Postgrad student at Aberdeen University, discusses these survivals and what they can tell us about Pictish-Gaelic relations.
