Toisichidh na Cuairtean Ghàidhlig le Geopark Eilean Arainn airson na bliadhna seo ann an Seachdain na Gàidhlig! Coisichidh sinn a dh’ Uamh an Rìgh – ’s e cuairt ainmeil a th’ ann, ach tha stòraidhean nodha againn dhuibh!
Fad na cuairt: 4.5 cilemeatair / 2.75 mìle
Ùine na cuairt: 3.5 uairean
Bidh aodach dìonach agus brògan-troma riatanach, agus feumaidh tu biadh agus deoch: bidh sinn a’ gabhail srùbag! Bidh lòchran feumail cuideachd, airson gràbhalaidhean fhaicinn anns an uaimh.
Cruth-tìre: slighe corrach agus cladach carrach. ’S docha gun dreim sinn suas airson barrachd uamhan fhaicinn, agus bidh sin gu math eabarach agus garbh – ach bidh sin roghainneil!
Àite-coinneimh: pàirc-chàraichean Uamh an Rìgh, beagan mhìltean gu tuath air An Dubh-abhainn.

To launch a new year of Arran Geopark’s Gaelic landscape walks in Seachdain na Gàidhlig, we’re doing the King’s Cave loop: a familiar walk, but with some unfamiliar stories – and a bonus cave or two!
Walk length: 4.5 km / 2.75 miles
Approx. duration: 3.5 hours
Waterproofs are essential; please wear grippy shoes or walking boots; and don’t forget food/drinks – we’ll be stopping for a srùbag! A (head)torch mightn’t go wrong either, for identifying carvings in King’s Cave!
Terrain: uneven, occasionally steep footpath, and pebbly rocky shore. We’ll go off-piste to inspect a couple of other caves – this can be quite muddy, steep, uneven and slippery, but is also entirely optional!
Meeting place: King’s Cave car park, a few miles north of Blackwaterfoot
