Sùil air: Trad Music Trust – Seachdain na Gàidhlig an Gall-Ghaidhealaibh // Case Study: Trad Music Trust – Seachdain na Gàidhlig in Galloway
Air Seachdain na Gàidhlig, le taic bho Mhaoin nan Tabhartas Beag (Bòrd na Gàidhlig), bha dà thachartas aig Trad Music Trust: bùth-obrach seinn Gàidhlig còmhla ri Rachel Walker agus cuirm-ciùil air an oidhche còmhla ri Rachel Walker agus Aaron Jones. Nochd deichnear aig a’ bhùth-obrach agus chòrd an cuirm ris a h-uile duine a bha an làthair.
Dh’ionnsaich an fheadhainn aig a’ bhùth-obrach òrain Gàidhlig a sheinneas iad aig an taigh. Thog e air cliù na Gàidhlig ann an sgìre far nach eil i air a riochdachadh cho math sin an Alba.

On Seachdain na Gàidhlig, with support from the Small Grants Fund (Bòrd na Gàidhlig), Trad Music Trust hosted two events: a Gaelic singing workshop facilitated by Rachel Walker and an evening concert featuring Rachel Walker & Aaron Jones. Ten people came out for the workshop and the evening concert was very well received.
Those that attended the workshop learnt Gaelic songs that we hope they will continue to practice and develop. It certainly highlighted the Gaelic language, which is noticeably under-represented in this part of Scotland.
