DESCRIPTION:Thigibh còmhla rium airson aon no dhà chlas meòrachadh airson Seachdain na Gàidhlig 2025.  Bidh sinn a’ coimhead air an ceangal eadar sinne agus ar inntinn.  Bidh na meòrachadh ann an dà-chànanach no Gàidhlig leis stiùiridhean sa Bheurla. Tha seo freagarrach airson duine sam bith\, ma tha sibh air a bhith a’ meòrachadh roimhe no nach eil. \nWhether you’re experienced at mindfulness or wanting to get started please join me for one or two mindfulness classes as part of World Gaelic Week 2025.  We’ll be practicing phrase led practices from the Plum Village tradition with opportunities to share our experience in small break out rooms.  Practices will be bilingual or in Gaelic depending on who attends. The instructions or teaching around mindfulness will be in English because of my limitations\, but I’ll be encouraging the use of as much Gaelic as possible in a supportive environment.

There will be workshops in the morning for the local Mod committees .In the afternoon we will be working with “Culturlann” and “Tobar an Dualchais”- there will be a short lecture on Màiri Mhòr nan Òran and some of her songs from the Inverness Gaelic Primary School choir and “Fonn Fonn Fonn” from Culturlann.

DESCRIPTION:Come along to our all-day singing workshop led by the incredible Bria Mason! We’ll be learning well-known ceilidh songs and choruses. \nAll are welcome! Bria will guide us all through the pronunciation\, tunes\, and translations of the songs. This will be a warm and inclusive opportunity to learn more about Gaelic\, sing with others\, and find out more about the Edinburgh Gaelic Choir! \nBria has worked professionally in Gaelic development for ten years.  She has been leading Gaelic song classes and workshops for over a decade and teaching Gaelic to adults since 2017. Her outstanding attribute is her infectious enthusiasm for all things Gaelic.

The U6 – U12 Football Camp will be followed by Alba Men’s National Team Training from 13:00 – 15:00. DESCRIPTION:In this simple but powerful drama performed by Primary 7 pupils from Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce\, we follow the journey of two families forced from their homes during the Highland Clearances; one family who leave to work in a mill and the other family who emigrated. The event will include a short talk about her life\, a selection of recordings from Tobar an Dualchais of songs composed by Màiri Mhòr\, as well as songs performed live by Cultarlann’s choir Fonn Fonn Fonn. and by local school choirs Còisir and Ceòl na h-Òige. Tea & coffee will be available at the end of the event\, with an opportunity to chat. This event will be bilingual. The event is being held at Eden Court\, Inverness. \nThere will then be a free screening of ‘Màiri Mhòr; Her Life and Songs’ by Eden Court at 3.30pm. This hour-long drama-documentary was written by John McGrath and produced by Freeway Films.
