We are an inclusive school\, who want to celebrate the Gaelic language\, culture and heritage. We want to promote the health and well-being of everyone in our school community. Most of all we want to have fun and bring families\, carers\, pupils\, staff and the wider community together for a Gaelic celebration\, where the highlights will be\, a Ceilidh\, Shinty and Cafe. We want to welcome everyone and have as much Gaelic participation as possible\, through song\, music\, art and dance. Also through sport and food and drink. We will have a Gaelic Quiz and other fun games. We will listen to and read Gaelic books and watch Gaelic T.V. programmes. Online we will use the many Gaelic resources available to us. We are very excited about this.

DESCRIPTION:FC Sonas will work alongside both Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Partick Thistle to showcase support within Scottish football for the Gaelic language. We will aim to engage with both teams respective communities via social media content and highlight the presence of Gaelic within different dynamics of the football clubs. Both clubs have committed to a match day act of solidarity for Seachdain Na Gàidhlig and will sign a football that FC Sonas will carry to different Gaelic communities throughout the calendar year gathering signatures to be unveiled during Seachdain Na Gàidhlig 2024.

This will be celebrated at a whole school assembly in which children will have the opportunity to hear Gaelic traditional music from a live band. \nWe will also be offering a Gaelic language class to parents and will be welcoming our whole school community to a Gaelic language cafe.
