These activities will be inclusive to all levels of Gaelic\, in an attempt to encourage as many people as possible to use the language for the day. We will have lots of useful phrases displayed to help people out as well as plenty of fluent speakers around to keep the conversation flowing.

DESCRIPTION:FC Sonas and Seachdain Na Gàidhlig have teamed up with both the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd Council and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Council to create the Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd & Island World Gaelic Week Football Festival. \nThe event will take place in Inverness on Friday the 23rd of February at the Canal Park Astro from 09:30am to 14:00pm and will be open to secondary school pupils between S1 to S3. The schools can entry more than a singular team with mixed representation\, the more players playing football and engaging with the Gaelic language the better\, the Seachdain Na Gàidhlig football festival is a celebration through the universal medium of football for our cultural identity. \nThrough bringing Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd and Island high schools together our aim is to create a community where different geographical regions can be connected by Gaelic language based football activity. TAD will also be looking for help in tracing contributors whose recordings are not yet available online. Community is key to TAD and they will also be taking the opportunity to listen to stories relating to local history and local people. Refreshments will be available. \nMany of these recordings are in Gaelic and they will be made accessible to the non-Gaelic members of the audience through summaries and translations. DESCRIPTION:A fun music and movement class for 2-5 years olds with their adult. \nThe sessions will encourage people to come together\, to improve mental health and wellbeing through physical activity and social interactions\, all whilst promoting the medium of Gaelic. \nGaelic speakers and those with an interest in learning Gaelic are invited to hear and use Gaelic in a fun and relaxed way. \nThe intension is to provide a new place for exposure to the Gaelic language. \nFluent Gaelic speaking young people on the Highlife Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd leadership programme will be in attendance to offer support through dance and the Gaelic language. They will have an opportunity to actively use their Gaelic in real life situations\, and become role models for the next generation.

Bidh an seisean a’ toirt eòlas na Gàidhlig do theaghlaichean aig nach eil Gàidhlig agus a’ brosnachadh na buidhnean pàrant is pàiste\, sgoiltean-àraich agus sgoiltean meadhan na Gàidhlig. \nBidh daoine òg a tha fileanta sa Ghàidhlig ag obair gu saor-thoileach san t-seisean. \n// \nA fun music and movement class for toddlers and their adult\, to improve mental health and wellbeing through physical activity and social interactions\, all whilst promoting the medium of Gaelic. \nGaelic speakers and those with an interest in learning Gaelic are invited to hear and use Gaelic in a fun and relaxed way. \nLearn phrases and songs during the session and take home a song sheet and vocabulary sheet to keep practising after the event.  The session introduces non-Gaelic speaking families to the Gaelic language and directs participants to the local Gaelic Medium toddler groups\, nurseries and schools. \nFluent Gaelic speaking young people will volunteer in the session.
