The pupils will be encouraged to submit a video of their pieces of writing to The Gaelic Books Council for a competition.

This session will be in English with Gaelic content. \nSchools where children are learning Gaelic as an additional language are invited to join the Fèisgoil staff online through Teams where they can meet\, listen to and ask questions of Luke Macleod. \nLuke\, who is a student at the University of St Andrews\, will lead the half-hour online session for children and young people where he will tell them of some of the opportunities he has had as a Gaelic speaker keen to use the language whenever he can. Originally from Lewis\, he is spending his third year of university in Hong Kong\, learning how other countries deal with more than one official language. \nPlease don’t be shy – Luke would love to take any questions directly from the children – or their teachers – present on Monday 24th. DESCRIPTION:A celebration of place\, language and culture\, re-connecting two communities traditionally linked by the Corran crossing\, through Gaelic foraging walks\, song and storytelling sessions and a first gathering of a regular circle drawing together Gaels\, learners and supporters of the language from both sides of Loch Linnhe. \nCrossing the Corran Ferry for Part two on Monday the 24th\, with the Gaelic-speaking foreman at the helm and making the announcements\, the focus shifts to Ardgour where the presenters of BBC ALBA’s newest outdoors series\, ‘Rùrachd’\, will lead a Gaelic-orientated foraging session\, introducing participants to gateway finds\, and particularly exploring and celebrating the Gaelic names and backgrounds of plants\, as well as their traditional uses. The foraging leaders are Mary Ann Kennedy and Lucy Cooke\, director of Watercolour Music and part-time Project Manager of Inchree Barn Project respectively. Local Gaelic speakers\, some with generations of family belonging and including children from the local primary schools\, will be encouraged to come along and join in\, sharing their own stories\, songs and background. \nEvent timings are still to be announced.

The instructions or teaching around mindfulness will be in English because of my limitations\, but I’ll be encouraging the use of as much Gaelic as possible in a supportive environment.

SUMMARY:Gàidhlig-Gaeilge: Na Ceanglaichean
DESCRIPTION:The Project will seek to explore links between Gaelic and Ulster Irish in order to strengthen them.  It will be aimed at those who are already fluent in Gaeilge.  It will involve an enjoyable language workshop in the local Bunscoil and will broaden out in the evening and following day to include an exhibition of Gaelic materials including learning resources\, books\, records\, cassettes and magazines. Newry Branch will work closely with Bunscoil an Iúir. \nFeuchaidh am Pròiseact ri ceanglaichean eadar Gàidhlig agus Gaeilge Uladh a rannsachadh gus an neartacadh. Bidh e ag amas air an fheadhainn a tha fileanta sa Ghaeilge mar-thà.  Bidh e a’ gabhail a-steach bùth-obrach cànain tlachdmhor sa Bhun-sgoil ionadail agus leudaichidh e a-mach air an fheasgar agus an ath latha gu bhith a’ toirt a-steach taisbeanadh de stuthan Gàidhlig nam measg goireasan ionnsachaidh\, leabhraichean\, clàran\, cassettes agus irisean. \nBidh Craobh an Iúir ag obair gu dlùth le Bun-sgoil an Iúir.
